“Jellyfish have been around for 650 million years, which means they have outlived dinosaurs and sharks.”

Jellyfish have no bones, (and not even a heart or brain), so fossils are hard to come by. Nevertheless, scientists have evidence that these creatures have been all along in the world’s oceans for at least 650 million years. That’s roughly 3 times more than the age of the first dinosaurs.
